This is a superb example of a 1970s Omega that has hardly been worn in its 50 year life. No scrapes, dinks or scratches, just micro scratches from handling. All the edges are sharp - it looks just like a new watch!
The dial has a vertical brush finish and is unmarked. The polished gold hour batons have black inserts and are finished with the original luminous dots. The quarters didn't have any to make it easier to tell the time in the dark. Matching polished gold hands with both black and luminous inserts. Sweep seconds hand. Quick-set date at 3. Omega, the Omega logo, Automatic, Genève and Swiss Made are all printed in black. Original acrylic with the Omega logo etched in the centre. Original crown with the Omega logo.
The case has a gold plated finish and is unmarked. The screw-fit case-back is stainless steel and is also unmarked. It has the Omega logo etched in the centre and is fully marked Omega on the inside.
The watch is fitted with the original gold plated bracelet. It also shows no signs of wear. It will fit a medium to large wrist and comes with an additional two spare links.
Inside is the Omega 1012 automatic movement. This will wind itself up when the watch is worn but may need the assistance of an occasional wind depending upon use.
Watches of this vintage in this condition are rare!
