This is a beautiful 1973 Omega Geneve in immaculate condition together with its original papers.
This particular model of the Geneve is one of the most attractive in the Geneve model history. It moved away from the "beefy" lugs of the earlier Seamasters to a much more elegant design that visually prioritised the dial over the case and bezel and as such gives the watch great wrist presence.
The silver sunburst dial has complimentary applied, polished steel hour batons with black inserts. All except the quarters have balls of luuminous material at their tips. The stainless steel hands also have luminous inserts. Sweep seconds hand. Quick-set date at 3 changes automatically at midnight. To adjust independantly pull out the crown two stops and repeat to advance the date one day at a time. Original crown with the Omega logo. Original acrylic with Omega etched in the centre. Printed in black is the Omega logo, Omega, Geneve and Swiss made.
The stainless steel case and screw fit case-back are in fine condition with no signs of abuse, just a few minor scratches. The inside of the case-back is fully marked Omega together with the model number. Click here to see this model on the official Omega site.
The watch is run by the manual wind Omega in-house manufactured 613 calibre. In great condition and running as you would expect.
Fitted to the watch is a brand new Hirsch leather strap.
The original operating instructions are included together with the original sales guarantee which shows the watch was sold on the 8th October 1973.
