This is a larger than average Omega manual wrist watch manufactured in 1956 in a model run that went from 1954 to 1958.

With it's black dial and 35.7 diameter (ex crown) this watch has great wrist presence. Applied gold hour batons with matching Omega logo, Dauphine hands and sweep seconds hand. Omega and Swiss Made are printed in gold. The dial has aged well and I suspect the watch and dial have been the subject of a historical refurbishment.

The case is polished stainless steel with a snap-fit case-back. Both have very few marks, a sign of a careful owner. Omega signed crown. On the inside of the case-back it is fully marked Omega.

The watch is powered by the Omega in-house calibre 284, a derivative of the spectacular 30T2. This series of Omega movements were largely acknowledged to have been the influencing factor for Omega's success for a 25 year period.

The watch comes fitted with a black buffalo calf strap (non Omega).
