The celebrated Omega 30T2 calibre movement and its derivitives were a major factor in the success of the brand for over 25 years. Highly respected by Omega enthusiasts and collectors and those who have knowledge of horology. You will understand why the watch for sale here runs so well!
This 1946 Omega has a "lived-in" dial with patina and character! Originally two-tone colour with the ring that encompasses the numbers sporting a sheen finish. The hours are represented two-hourly in gold painted Arabic numerals. These are interspesed with cabochon metal dots. Smaller matching dot inserts act as the minunte indexes. Stainless steel leaf hands. Small seconds sunken sub-dial at 6 with a circular Guiloche finish. Genuine Omega crown (not original).
The stainless steel case is in good condition and the case-back has scratches. On the inside the case-back it is fully marked Omega.
With a diameter of 33.1mm it's about 1mm smaller than the average classic Seamaster but with a slimmer bezel and larger dial it wears just as well on the wrist.
As can be seen in the pictures the 30T2 calibre movement is in great condition and runs as you would expect.
The watch comes with a used genuine leather non-Omega strap.
