Super rare Omega pocket watch in a platinum case with its bezel encrusted with 63 brilliant diamonds.
Such a beautiful piece fully encapsulates all that is great about Art Deco style. The slim platinum case is a quantum leap forward from the bulky, bulbous cases of earlier times. Finely detailed crown and Art Deco bale.
Everything about this watch suggests it's been well cared for. Complete and original with a gorgeous dial that has virtually no signs to suggest it's 80 years old. Fine blued steel plume hands. Small seconds at 6 in a sunken sub-dial with a Guilloche finish. Signed Omega and fab Suisse in black. Excellent "flat spot" acrylic.
The case is marked platinum inside and on the outside is lightly engraved "To Eli from Dad 8.7.'38". There are very fine scratches as to be expected. This is the first time the watch has been for sale since it was bought new.
Inside is the highly respected Omega calibre 37.5 L15P. Serviced.
A very rare Omega jewelry pocket watch.
Most photographs are taken outside in natural light and are not "adjusted". The most frequent feedback is that the watch is better in reality than in the photos!
